Cache Creek Lodge was established as a nonprofit organization in 1974 by Hugh Cameron, a Yolo County resident and landowner empathetic to the needs of recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. Since its early beginnings, Cache Creek Lodge was run and supported by local businesses, community leaders, and friends of those in recovery. Cache Creek Lodge has been at its current Woodland location since 1994 and currently maintains 55 beds for men and 10 beds for women providing residential and transitional housing for those in various stages of rehabilitation.
Over time, Cache Creek Lodge has maintained collaborative relationships with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, Yolo County Child Protective Services, Yolo County Felony Drug Court, Yolo County Probation & Parole, Solano County Mental Health Services, and the Sacramento County of Edcucation. Many of Cache Creek Lodge's clients are mandated to receive recovery services as conditions of their probation or parole. Serving the ex-offender population has filled a critical service need within Yolo County and the broader Sacramento region.
